A.N. Mohan attempts an Orson Welles and comes out with flying colours. Aage Teri Marzi is a tour de force which sheds light on a plethora of social issues ravaging the contemporary Indian society. The film consists of two parallel plots, one revolving around the psychotic serial rapist Abhiyukt Raaka while the other based on the blossoming love affair between a 40 year old mullet sporting college student(Ramesh) and a blind choti memsaab wearing breast hugging jeans (Meena). Abhiyukt Raaka is on the run after raping and killing 24 women. Ramesh is on a run after Meena confesses her love for him. The two plots run on a parallel track until fate and Mr. Mohan decide otherwise. Raaka, jiska koi baal na kar paye baaka decides to celebrate milestone 25 by violating choti memsaab and pays the price. Stellar performances by Raaka(Naaga) and Meena(Rathi) equally well supported by Ramesh(Ratnakar) coupled with the musical wizardry of Layendra makes the movie a visual and aural treat. The rape scenes make you shudder while the aesthetic beauty with which the intimate scenes are shot makes you neglect the partial show of skin. The only negative aspect of the movie is that it runs for a paltry 66 minutes leaving the audience craving for more.
