Trolling David Thorne of 27bslash6.com

Note: David Thorne is the guy behind www.27bslash6.com. If you haven’t read his website you should. He’s famous for his email exchanges which are hilarious. Being big fans of him and having read almost all of his articles Puru Kumar decided to troll him. He sent him an email and here is the exchange.

Hey David, my name is Puru Kumar and I am the Editor-in-chief of an online magazine -- BigFishMag. I haven't really read your articles but my friend told me that you are quite popular on the internet. I was wondering if you could link my website, http://www.bigfishmag.com/ , under the Friends of 27bslash6 section? If you want I could send you a facebook friend request. Let me know if you have a profile.

Thanks,
Puru Kumar.

Is that a no to the facebook profile or the the Friends of 27bslash6 request? Also, thanks for the quick reply. The last time somebody replied to my email this quick it turned out to be one of those Nigerian scams. Can you confirm your identity so that we can continue with our conversation.

Regards,
Puru Kumar.

Hello Puru,

I do not add people to the 'friends of 27bslash6' section unless they have contributed to the site either financially or constructively.
Sponsored links are available for $380 for twelve months. These links appear on very page.
Payments are made through Paypal.

Regards, David.

Dear David,
As you may have realized that our website is in its nascent stage and we definitely cannot afford paying $30 (approx) per month. However, I do have an enticing proposition for you: how about we link-back to your site (the value of which I estimate to around 23$ per month) and pay the remaining 7$ (approx) in weekly installments? This way we help you find readers in India and also promote your upcoming comic book (a promotional copy of which you can mail to us). As far as contributing constructively goes we can help suggest a bigger and more readable font for your site and also start sharing your links on twitter.

Hoping to hear from you soon!

Regards,
Puru Kumar.

Hello Puru,

Thank you for the offer, unfortunately your site stats and page rank do not make this a commercially viable agreement for me.
All the best with your endeavours.

Regards, David.

Dear David,
Pay no attention to stats and page rank. They can only improve once you list us under Friends of 27bslash6. If you can spread the word to fellow bloggers that will only expedite the process. Did you dwell upon the constructive contribution aspect of the last reply?

Regards,
Puru Kumar.

Hello Puru,

I am sure your stats & ranking would indeed improve once you are listed under 'Friends of 27b/6'.
That is why that section costs $1200.00
Being listed under the 'Sponsored Links' section costs $380.00

Out links equate to around 46000 per day, that is roughly 40 times your current total.

You are not getting a free link. If you wish to purchase one then I will send you a Paypal request.

Also, the type size, layout, colour and content of my website is commercially branded well. I have no need to change it.

Regards, David.

Dear David,
Whoever said that friendship is priceless did not live in the age of the internet and online marketing. I am appalled that you value friendship at $1200.00 per annum. Also, thank you for the intricate statistical analysis of my website vis-a-vis 27b/6; I have to agree that was some nifty work you pulled out there. Finally, I am glad that you at least considered my font size suggestion and gave it a thought. So, what is your final verdict on the link-back? Let me know.

Regards,
Puru Kumar.

PS: Is it just a coincidence that to be friends with 27b/6 I have to use a paypal account or did the creators of paypal envisage this in the distant past?
